You Hafta' Live in IL

Many years ago rural dirt roads in Illinois were paved with concrete. To conserve money they most often just did one lane as you see here. These roads became known as "slabs" and for example the road connecting Homer and IL 130 is known as the Sidney slab as it runs through that community. Later on the one-lane slabs were widened and paved over so it is rather unusual to see one in its original state.
